Shark Island

In maths we have been learning about directions and mapping. We got to create our own map called Shark Island. We used our hand to make this island and put things like a compass, a pirate ship, the shark sea and Great Ocean on it
. The Great Ocean even has a whale in it! This helped me learn about north, south, east and west. If you could create an island what would it be called?

 This week in maths I have been learning about maps. We needed to be able to read a compass. This helped us know which direction to go in.n This is the map I have created of Marshland School. I found it easy as I could just look out the window. Do you know how to read a compass? What direction comes between North and East?
